  • Annual Race Day Fundraiser

    Another successful Race Day fundraiser was held at the Turffontein Race Course on Saturday 22nd February. The majority of the funds raised will go towards the National Freedom Network to help raise awareness of the ongoing scourge of human trafficking in our society.

    We enjoyed a wonderful District Conference to celebrate the past year's successes and looking to the new Rotary year under the theme of "Rotary Serving Humanity". There were excellent speakers including Mrs Graca Machel, plenty of new information and fantastic fellowship with old and new friends
  • Insightful talk by Prosthodontist Dr Gerald Kaplan

    Dr Gerald Kaplan gave us an interesting and insightful talk about prosthodontics vs dentistry. He stressed the importance of looking after the health of our teeth from early in life in order to prevent costly complications later! Past President Billy Phillips thanked him.

  • Elandspark School Food Drive & Tekkie day

    The Rotary Club of Bedfordview helped Elandspark School with their Food Drive and Tekkie day on the 31st October 2014. Rotarians from the club raised funds to buy non-perishable food and also gave a cash donation. Acting President David Leventhorpe and Treasurer Diane Levenhorpe handed this over on the day to the Principal Josua du Plessis
  • Wine Tasting Fundraiser

    On Tuesday night 21st April our club held a fantastic wine tasting event at Liquor City in the Key West Centre, Van Buuren Rd, Bedfordview. Funds were raised in support of Setshabelo Orphanage, a longstanding and key project of our Rotary Club. Also on display were various liquors, Caparinhas and Brothers Craft beers
  • District Governor Visits Setshabelo

    Our District Governor, Annie Steijn visited Setshabelo, one of our club's key projects in Thokoza on the East Rand. The District Governor visits clubs in our District 9400 on an annual basis and meets with the club’s Board to discuss various topics and also assists with plans and ideas for the Rotary year
